Not every person is born great and it’s the sheer struggle and hard work that makes them superior from the rest. Einstein is regarded as the father of modern-day physics and one the most prolific intellects in human history. But not even Albert Einstein was born a genius.
Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany in 1879. He was a non-observant Jew. At the age of seventeen, he appeared for the entrance examination for the Swiss Federal Polytechnic in Zurich and the result was hopeless. He flunked in History, Language, Geography and other subjects except Maths and Science. The Principal at the Polytechnic advised him to join Aargau Cantonal School in Aarau, Switzerland.
He later returned to the Swiss Federal Polytechnic and this time he passed his exams with flying colours. Though he was very young at that time, he enrolled in a four year Mathematics and Physics teaching Diploma Program at the Zurich Polytechnic. Despite of his early failures Einstein worked hard and wrote many scientific papers which were regarded extremely valuable back then. In 1905, Einstein developed the Theory of Relativity which is one of the most Awe-inspiring scientific breakthroughs of all time and also discovered the photoelectric effect.
Even though his personal life was plagued with crisis, he didn’t lose hope and kept fighting till he achieved the unthinkable in his field and proved his own saying, which was,
“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”
